COMMUNITY AND FAITH-BASED INITIATIVE ON FOSTER CARE
In Michigan, there are nearly 13,000 children in foster care and 300 children who still need an adoptive family. The Community and Faith-Based Initiative on Foster Care and Adoption seeks to build partnerships within local and faith communities to meet the needs of these children. We welcome local community leaders, business representatives, and faith leaders (or members) of all religions to join our effort by attending an event on Tuesday, April 18, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Kalamazoo Radisson, 100 W. Michigan Avenue. Registration: This event is free and includes lunch. Childcare is not provided. Registration is required. To get started, go to www.michigan.gov/faith. If you have any questions, contact Trina Richardson at (231) 398-8497 or richardsont12@michigan.gov.
