The Worship and Music Committee will host a benefit concert by Nancy Howells, accompanied by Jared Montgomery, in the sanctuary on Sunday, November 18, at 3:00 p.m. There is no admission charge, but a free-will offering will be received to support the human trafficking shelter at the YWCA. Personal care items such as body wash, hair care items, lotion, and deodorant will also be collected for the women’s shelter. The program will feature classical art-songs by Erich Korngold, Samuel Barber, Lori Laitman, and Lee Holby. The theme of the concert is beautiful melody and occasional unexpected humor. You are invited to enjoy an afternoon of vocal music, a reception, and the opportunity to support some of the most vulnerable persons in our community.
