Sponsored by the Worship And Music Committee, recent WMU master’s graduate Joel Snyder will present a recital of vocal music on November 18 at 7 p.m. in our Sanctuary. Joel has performed as a soloist with many organizations in the central Michigan area, including Ars Voce, the Battle Creek Symphony, Kellogg Community College, Branch County Community Chorus, and Portage Chapel Hill United Methodist Church. As a student at Western, he frequently performed solos with the University Chorale, Collegium Musicum, Campus Choir, and sang the title role in WMU’s production of Mozart’s “Le Nozze di Figaro”. On Nov. 18, other talented area musicians will join him to celebrate the music of Handel, Bach, Fauré, and Vaughan Williams, as well as choral music by Dan Forrest, and even vocal jazz.
