Volunteers Needed – Pine Island Hope Garden

Pine Island Presbyterian Church expanded their Hope Garden in 2016 and harvested more than 5,000 pounds of vegetables that were shared with Kalamazoo residents in need. This summer, their congregation has once again planted the garden on their Q Avenue property. It is about 4 miles west of US-131. Bob Poel, their master gardener, delivered a Minute for Mission last Sunday (June 18) and met with FPC people in the Gathering Place after Worship.

Volunteers are especially needed on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, from 9:30am to 12:30pm Bob invites us to get more detailed information by calling him at (269) 349-4402. Please consider working on the community gardening ministry with Pine Islanders. Outreach Committee has made a donation to help with the garden expenses. Contact person: Sam Clark, Outreach Committee.
