"A Sanctuary in the City… Living Faith"
Vision-Dinner

Celebrate the Vision is our midweek outreach program that includes the ministries of faith formation, fellowship and food.

The evening begins at 4 p.m. on Wednesdays with a Men’s Community Bible Study facilitated by Ray Wicks.  At 5:30, following the Bible Study, we serve a homemade dinner to 80-120 guests with assistance from the evening’s cooks, Linda Digby and Dr. Patricia Stromsta.  We also distribute coats, clothing and blankets as we receive them. At 6:30 p.m, Pat leads an informal worship service in the Gathering Place, which includes singing, scripture reading, discussion and prayer. Instrumentalists for the service are Brian Watt, Bev and Bob Murray, Scot Stromsta, Sally Vliem, and Ray Wicks.  Please join us when you can!

“Sometimes I see humanity as a sea of people starving for affection, tenderness, care, love, acceptance, forgiveness, and gentleness. Everyone seems to cry: ‘Please love me.’”

-Henri Nouwen.

At Celebrate the Vision, we try to show our brothers and sisters from the community and the congregation the love, care, and acceptance that they cry out for and that we have received from our gracious and loving God.
