"A Sanctuary in the City… Living Faith"

Kalamazoo Loaves and Fishes Support

There are lasting effects of childhood hunger. For thousands of children in Kalamazoo County, hunger is a daily reality. It’s not only about the day-to-day struggle of not having enough to eat. Often the effects of hunger can be lifelong and play a significant role in a child’s ability to thrive. Children facing hunger are twice as likely to have chronic health problems (cognitive, emotional and social issues, reduction of motor skills, low self-esteem, depression, aggression, irritability, etc.) than those who don’t. You can help fight childhood hunger this year. Continue to fill our Loaves and Fishes barrels with nonperishable food throughout the summer months. You can also donate to the KLF’s “Food is Fuel Kids’ Campaign”. (kzoolf.org)
